Why Mentari Logic
The case for a measured advisory partner over a platform sales team
What makes the difference in AI integration is not speed — it is clarity about what your organisation is doing and why.
Back to HomeCore Advantages
Six things that shape every engagement we take on
These are not aspirations. They are structural features of how Mentari Logic is set up and how our engagements are contracted.
No platform commissions
We carry no commercial arrangements with AI tool vendors. Our income comes from the engagement fee. That means our recommendations are shaped by what suits your workflow, not what pays us a referral.
Written scope before any work starts
Every engagement begins with a defined, agreed scope documented in writing. We do not start work on assumptions. If the scope needs to shift, that conversation happens before the invoice does.
Malaysian sector knowledge
Our reference cases and workshop materials are weighted toward Malaysian industries. We understand the regulatory context, the workforce considerations, and the operational realities of doing business here.
A written record at the end of every engagement
Verbal feedback fades. Every engagement we run closes with a structured written output — a recommendation document, a pilot reflection, or a quarterly summary — that your team can use and share internally.
Your team stays in authority
We structure our work to inform decisions, not make them. Operations leads and senior management retain full authority over what gets adopted. Our job is to make that decision clearer, not to make it for you.
Formats matched to your adoption stage
Not every organisation is at the same point. Our three engagement types — workshop, pilot, quarterly review — are designed to be appropriate to where you actually are, not where we think you should be.
In More Detail
Practical expertise, not theoretical AI enthusiasm
The team at Mentari Logic came out of operations consulting, not the AI industry. That background matters because it shapes how we assess use cases — not by asking "what can this technology do?" but by asking "what would actually improve how this organisation works?"
We have facilitated workshops with operations teams in logistics, financial services, and professional services. That experience informs how we structure sessions and which questions we ask.
- Operations consulting background across Malaysian industries
- Workshop facilitation adapted to sector context
- Assessment frameworks grounded in operational reality
- Familiarity with Malaysian regulatory and workforce context
A clear process with defined phases
Each of our engagement formats has a defined structure: what happens before, during, and after. The Discovery Workshop has a preparation phase, a two-day session format, and a written output. The Process Pilot has a design phase, an integration phase, and a reflection. The Quarterly Review has a fixed cadence and a set of standard outputs.
This means you can explain to your board, your operations team, and your staff what is happening and when. There are no vague "engagement phases" that stretch indefinitely.
- Each engagement type has a documented structure
- Defined start and end points — not open-ended retainers
- Written outputs at every closing phase
- No scope drift without explicit agreement
Transparent, fixed-fee engagements
All three of our engagement formats carry a fixed published fee. The Discovery Workshop is RM 1,520. The Process Augmentation Pilot is RM 1,280. The Quarterly Integration Review is RM 760 per quarter. These are not estimates — they are the fees, stated upfront.
For organisations that need to budget carefully or get internal approval for advisory spend, fixed fees make that process straightforward. There are no hourly rates running against a retainer, and no invoice surprises at close.
- All fees published and fixed in advance
- No hourly billing or time-and-materials ambiguity
- Straightforward for internal budget approval
- Travel in Klang Valley included in workshop and review fees
How We Compare
Mentari Logic versus the alternatives
The most common alternatives are technology platform resellers, generalist IT consultancies, and large advisory firms. Here is an honest comparison across the factors that matter most.
| Factor | Typical Providers | Mentari Logic |
|---|---|---|
| Vendor relationships | Often carry referral or reseller arrangements | No platform commercial relationships |
| Fee transparency | Hourly or retainer with variable scope | Fixed published fees per engagement |
| Local context | Global frameworks applied generically | Malaysian sector case studies and context |
| Written deliverables | Verbal debrief or presentation deck | Structured written output every engagement |
| Decision authority | Consultants often drive recommendations strongly | Client team retains full decision authority |
| Scope control | Scope expands through the engagement | Scope defined and agreed in writing upfront |
What Sets Us Apart
Features you will not find in most AI consultancy engagements
Pre-engagement clarity call at no cost
Before any agreement is signed, we offer a short call to establish whether the engagement format is a genuine fit. If it is not, we say so. This call carries no obligation and is not a sales call.
Workshops held at your premises
Discovery Workshops are conducted at your location in Kuala Lumpur, Penang, or Johor Bahru. This reduces disruption to your team's schedule and keeps the session grounded in your actual working environment.
Risk register included in every quarterly review
Every Quarterly Integration Review closes with a short, maintained risk register — not just a written summary. This gives boards and operations leads a standing document to reference between cycles.
PDPA-aligned data handling from day one
Our data handling practices are aligned with Malaysia's Personal Data Protection Act 2010. Confidentiality agreements are standard, and access controls for pilot work are defined before the engagement begins.
